History and Organization

Tripp Contracting was founded in January 1996 by Harrison Somerville III, and reorganized as a Limited Liability Company in April 1996.  For over ten years, Mr. Somerville successfully delivered hundreds of top quality, timely projects while under the employment of others. He brings to Tripp Contracting his well-known reputation for integrity and thoroughness and maintains a service-oriented organization dedicated to quality and efficiency. Tripp Contracting is further building a reputation for excellence in the contracting and project management of interiors and general construction throughout the Washington, DC and Baltimore Metropolitan areas.

Tripp Contracting specializes in commercial, retail, medical, and institutional renovations. Since our inception, we have performed thousands of projects for clients such as DRI Development Services, Transwestern, Cushman & Wakefield, Texas Instruments, INTUIT, Honeywell, and Personal Communications Industry Association.

At Tripp Contracting, we strive to develop and maintain the critical relationships between all the team players on each project, from the smallest vendors and subcontractors to the architects, engineers, and owners. We believe the client’s goals for the project should direct and drive the energies of the team and we consistently work toward this objective.
